PROS:
CONS:
Advanced Registry Doctor Pro is a serious registry cleaner that might not boost your PC’s performance levels, but it will find and resolve all the Windows registry errors it might encounter. It comes with a defrag tool and a compression feature together with the startup optimizer utility. Although its overall performance increase was minimal, Advanced Registry Doctor Pro is still a reliable registry repair app with a few good, efficient tools.
Advanced Registry Doctor Pro was developed by Elcor Software as a registry repair program that boosts your PCs overall performance by fixing various Windows registry issues. Although the app has several levels of scanning and is highly efficient at resolving any registry problems, the overall performance increase we measured was minimal.
Although most registry repair apps are designed for novice users with added advanced features, Advanced Registry Doctor Pro is slightly less accessible than other similar software in its category. Unlike all other apps we reviewed, this registry cleaner requires quite a few precise clicks to get the basic search and repair option running. Granting this shouldn’t be an issue for standard users, those not so computer literate might have some confusion on running the program. There are three security scan levels: smart, quick and custom. The smart scan is essentially a deep scan that goes through your registry without any exceptions while the quick scan is less thorough. The custom scan option allows more advanced users to define the parameters by which they wish the scan to be performed. Advanced Registry Doctor Pro also has a defrag tool and compression feature.
Elcor Software is a well-known software developer so they often run various promotions on their website. At the time we wrote this review, you could buy the Advanced Registry Doctor Pro + TweakRAM app for $34.95.
To conduct the performance test we tested all the software in our review on the same dated, slow PC for added strain. We used a benchmarking software before and after we ran the registry repair app to get opposing results we can then use to compare and analyze the impact the app made on the computer’s system. Before running each test, we created safe restore points so we always started fresh with each new software we evaluated.
Advanced Registry Doctor Pro found 563 Windows registry errors and successfully fixed them. Although the number of errors discovered isn’t necessarily a sign of a program’s efficiency, Advanced Registry Doctor Pro discovered only a few hundred mistakes while most other registry repair apps we tested found several thousand. The overall performance increase its search result yielded was well below average at only 2.5 percent. While the increase was mostly due to improved word and data processing, other areas experienced a slight fall in their performance.

Elcor Software has a very retro looking website with minimum clutter. While the site looks a bit dated, it’s actually very easily maneuverable so you can find what you need in just a few clicks. A FAQ section and several articles regarding registry repairs software are available if you’re interested in looking for the solution to your issue by yourself. For any more serious problems you can contact customer support via email.
