Ensuring that the computer is always at peak performance is hard as there are many things to consider such as checking for signs of viruses, freeing up space in the hard drive, and updating the application installed. However, one part that is often overlooked by users is the drivers.

The drivers allow the operating system to communicate with the hardware. This is used by vital parts of the computer including the video cards, audio cards, and the external parts. Without it, these hardware parts will be totally not usable.

DriverMax Driver Updater

DriverMax is an application developed by Innovative Solutions for Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10 for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. This app simplifies the process of updating the drivers by doing all the scanning, back-up, downloading, and installation of drivers. It is trusted by a lot of users because of its abundant features and reliable driver updating.

The first feature of DriverMax is its easy driver updating. Upon installation, the user can immediately start a full scan of the computer’s drivers. The application will detect which ones are not updated and notify the user about this.

The free version of the application only allows users to update two drivers per day. However, users with the Pro version can update all of the drivers which need it in just one click. This includes the process of downloading and installing it.

Users will be shown the current version of their drivers, the name of its manufacturers, and the name of the driver.

Driver Backup

Aside from this, DriverMax also has a driver backup feature. This allows users to create a copy of the drivers that are currently installed on the PC. This will be stored inside a folder of the user’s choice.

Driver Restore

The driver restore feature is next. This can be used by the user in case a driver fails to update. It will access the back-up folder chosen by the user and reinstall the old version of the driver to make it usable again. This can also be done in case there are issues with the driver that are currently installed in the PC.

Users are given four options for the driver restore.

First, they can restore from a specific system restore point. This means that both the drivers and the system settings of the computer will be returned to its previous condition. Users should know, though, that this also affects other applications and settings so they need to be careful in case they have created a project recently which they don’t want to be deleted.

Next, they can also restore only a specific driver. Users have to ensure, though, that they have created a back-up version in a folder somewhere for this option to be used. This option can return the driver even back to its oldest version in case the user has a back-up for this.

Next, users can also rollback a specific driver by just one update. This will come from the stored library of Windows. Lastly, users can also rollback to a version that has been previously downloaded by the user. The application keeps track of all these downloads in one folder for this function.

The drivers which DriverMax downloads and installs in the computer all come from a certified library of safe files. It does not download viruses or malware on the PC. The application is also certified as a partner of Microsoft.

Benefits of updating your drivers

Updating the drivers of the hardware can ensure that the bugs and glitches it experiences will be fully removed or will at least lessen. Issues like screen freezing, displaying errors, and more will be avoided. Aside from this, users will also be ensured that their hardware’s lifetime will be extended as the hardware can still run newer applications that may have more resource demands. Lastly, users are ensured that their hardware will be more secure. If you are looking for more information, make sure you check out our DriverMax review
