PROS:
CONS:
Although EasyCare is a widely recognized organization we have found that AutoPOM to have a better overall customer experiance. To find out more about AutoPom click here. EasyCare is a good extended car warranty service that has a lot to offer, but due to its restrictive signing policy it’s very hard to be qualified for a warranty. In case your vehicle does fall under the required parameters, the company has four plans with extensive coverage you can choose from. They offer nationwide service and provide solid customer support.
Even though EasyCare ended up last in our review, it’s still a solid choice for your extended car warranty. It offers nationwide coverage and it services different mileage vehicles. It allows you to extend your original policy to up to five years or 120,000 miles. Nevertheless, EasyCare is very strict about mileage and vehicle conditions so not every car is eligible for an extension.
Coverage and Policy
For the purpose of our review, we called EasyCare to get a personalized offer for our pretend vehicle. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get a quote since our car was four years old and had around 50,000 miles on it. EasyCare’s extended car warranty policy is very strict and they won’t allow any car over two years old, or 24,000 miles to be covered. This was very disappointing since we used the same parameters when we tested all other companies on our list, and none of them failed to deliver a quote.
Nevertheless, if your vehicle does have the requirements, you should consider EasyCare and its four coverage plans. The Primary and Power care plans are the lower tier ones and they cover pretty much all the basic parts, while the Total and Stated care packages offer a much more comprehensive coverage, but for a larger price. Like all other companies in our review, EasyCare also offers a standard roadside assistance feature as well as rental car reimbursement for up to six days, $30 daily. If you end up signing an extended car warranty, you’ll be presented with an option of spreading out your payment over 18 months. EasyCare also lets you try out your new policy for a month before you can invoke the their 30-day money-back guarantee and be reimbursed fully, in case you’re not satisfied.
And while they have a strict coverage policy, in case your car ends up breaking down somewhere, it’s good to know EasyCare lets you choose any repair shop you’d like to leave your car at. This is very convenient since you won’t have to waste time looking for an authorized service. The company also requires you to pay a $100 deductible which is pretty standard.

Although we didn’t get a quote when we called EasyCare, the representative we spoke to was very educated on the company’s offer and guided us through the choosing process. We asked questions about mileage, coverage, plans and payment options and got swift and informative answers we would have used to “buy” a policy were we allowed to due to the company’s restrictions. Nevertheless, EasyCare doesn’t offer 24/7 support, nor do they have a live chat option for contacting a customer service representative.
