Even though it received a lower performance score because it slowed down the host PC, ESET made up for it with a perfect score in the usability area. In addition to great features and a competitive price, ESET’s premium package offers protection for up to 5 of your devices.
With a long tradition in internet security, ESET has once again proven to be a reliable product with its latest packages. The offer ranges from a basic ESET NOD32 Antivirus package that offers its signature antivirus program as well as some basic features to its full security suite ESET Multi-Device Security deal. If you’re looking to secure more than one device, the premium Multi-Device Security package covers full protection for up to 5 devices.

ESET NOD 32 offers many useful features with all its packages. It has an automatic email scan that combs through Your Email （You can email us at [email protected]） as they arrive in search of any potential threats. Another great feature is the automatic USB scan that scans files as they are inserted on a USB drive. The scan is done in real-time so you don’t have to worry about accidentally opening an infected file. On the usability test, run by AV-Test lab, ESET NOD 32 antivirus did excellent by scoring a perfect result at differentiating between good and infected files as well as blocking any of them from infecting your computer. An integrated anti-phishing tool as well a great feature insuring safety when you’re on Facebook or Twitter is included in all packages. ESET also has one of the best Parental control features on the market. It is easily adjustable and offers different presets for various age group which users can opt in/out.

When it was tested on computers running Windows 10, ESET NOD32 proved very reliable in protecting your PC from various viruses, Trojans, worms, rootkits and spyware. It also has a much needed protection against ransomware, a very serious malware that locks your computer until you pay ransom to unlock it. Its antivirus software performed well on both PCs and mobile phones. If you want your mobile devices fully covered as well, you’ll need to upgrade to ESET Multi-Device Security package which offers protection for up to 5 devices.
On tests run by the independent test lab AV-Test, ESET NOD32 performed poorly in the protection area of the test. While running different tasks, especially during the installation of new apps or copying files, ESET slowed down the host computer significantly more than allowed, so it received a much lower grade than other products in its category.
