PROS:
CONS:
When it comes to website builders, Duda proves to be a good choice for several reasons: the fact that it comes with a free version with ecommerce capabilities, the fact that it has a very intuitive, highly customizable and straightforward interface and the fact that it has a very impressive mobile responsiveness. On the downside, one of Duda’s biggest disadvantages is the inability to port your website to another hosting service.
Duda was originally known as DudaMobile, since it was initially designed for building mobile websites. That was happening back in 2010, when the product was first launched.
The company that developed Duda is based in Palo Alto, California and also has an office in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Today, this website builder is simply referred to as Duda and it can help you create both desktop and mobile-only websites.
Duda currently hosts over 9 million websites.
The fact that Duda includes a free version of their product is a big thumbs up. The free plan includes a Duda domain, web hosting and Amazon Cloud, personalization tools, community support and limited analytics and tracking. And because it is free, you won’t get rid of their ads, but that’s a pretty common thing with freebies.
The Business+ plan brings to the table full analytics and tracking, a custom domain, email support, secure connection (HTTPS), Chrome push notifications, a developer mode and multi-language website, site backup and a ‘no ads’ surfing experience.
Both the free and Business+ plan come with up to 10 product store and 2 product categories, order and customer management tools and PayPal, Stripe & Global Gateway Payment Providers.
The Business + Ecommerce package includes all the ecommerce features you need. You get access to more than 30 payment providers, order and customer management tools, product reviews integrated with Facebook and more.

In terms of ease of use, Duda is pretty much like any other drag-and-drop website builder. You can figure out in no time how to add elements such as text, images and media. The website is mobile responsive. When you first get started you will take a guiding tour, although we don’t think it’s really necessary, since Duda is really user-friendly.
There are Undo and Redo buttons, a Preview mode and a useful pages & popups button that lets you add elements like photo galleries, a restaurant menu, contact us/about us sections and so on.
If you know your coding and want even more control, you can always tweak your site some more with HTML/CSS.
The design editor is really complex and gives you a lot of customization options. In terms of fonts there are more than 50 available styles, you can also change color pallets, customize the header and the buttons and much more.
The only thing we considered below average was the image editor, which only comes with a few basic tools, but it’s nevertheless usable enough.
This website builder offers around 80 highly customizable templates to choose from. They are grouped by category: business, events, lifestyle, travel, restaurant, online store, portfolio, one pager and you can view them in different sizes (desktop, smartphone, tablet) so you can get a clear idea on how they will look on various devices.
You also get free hosting, but you should be aware of the fact that you will not be able to export your website to another hosting service.
Some other notable features with Duda are:
Duda has several pricing plans available, depending on the type of product you want to purchase. We are just going to give you the plans for responsive websites.
There are 3 packages: a Free one, Business+ and Business+Ecommerce.
Business + goes for $14.25/month (billed annually), $19 billed month to month or $299 site for life.
Business + Ecommerce costs $22.50/month (billed annually) or $29 billed month to month.

Customer support is not the biggest strength of Duda. You can’t reach them by phone and even email support is only available to customers who sign up for their Business+ or Business+Ecommerce plans. The Free plan only comes with community support.
They do have live chat and priority support as well, but they are only available for Duda resellers.
Your main form of support is their knowledge base, where you can find several articles on various topics: how to get started, how to edit a website, advanced tools, ecommerce and more.
