Nutri Ninja Duo is a professional blender manufactured by Ninja, a brand developed by SharkNinja Operating LLC. SharkNinja was founded in Montreal, Canada, in 1995 and it is currently based in Massachusetts. The company produces kitchen appliances such as blenders and food processors, multi-cookers and coffee makers.

The Nutri Ninja Duo is a powerful blender that comes in 4 models: BL640, BL641, BL642 and BL642W. The first two models have a wattage output of 1300 W, while the other two have 1500W and a different capacity.

This blender has a very professional look and feel while being mode affordable than most high-end competitors. All four models come with a 72-ounce pitcher, which is a generous size that lets you prepare large batches.

In this review, we are going to focus on the BL642.

In the box you get the motor base for the BL642, the pitcher with a lid, 3 Tritan Nutri Ninja cups (18, 24, 32 oz), 3 spout lids, the total crushing stacked blades and pro extractor assembly and a cookbook with 75 healthy and delicious recipes you can prepare with the Nutri Ninja.

The blender is a bit noisier than the average, but that’s to be expected considering the powerful motor.

One of the most impressive features of the Nutri Ninja is its Auto iQ technology. The blender has 5 intelligent programs (plus another 3 manual ones). This technology is basically a one-touch system which is very smart and automated. It adapts according to the food you put inside it and it also recognizes the size of the container. The Auto iQ will use different pulses depending on what’s inside the blender, in a pulse-pattern-pause cycle. It pulses, blends and pauses on its own, so that you don’t have to do it yourself. The result is a well-blended, smooth and tasty product. The Auto iQ feature also has a digital timer that lets you know how much time is left for each of the 5 programs. The timer also exists for the manual modes, for which it counts the seconds (for each blend, pulse, etc.) This feature is very appreciated among the Nutri Ninja customers. It is very useful because it saves you the trouble of continuously checking the blender yourself to figure out how much time you should spend blending something.

Another good thing about the Nutri Ninja Duo is the fact that it is dishwasher safe, which makes it very easy and convenient to clean it. The detachable parts are easy to remove. The only thing you should pay special attention to are the blades, because you can cut yourself pretty bad while cleaning them, if you are not careful.

The Nutri Ninja Duo is a versatile blender. Its powerful motor can pulverize ice within seconds so you can make delicious frozen drinks. The Pro Extractor Blades are also useful for cutting veggies, whole fruits and seeds. There is a button on the front of the blender dedicated just to purees and another one for preparing frozen drink smoothies. If we were to pick a best strength for the Nutri Ninja Duo, we would have to go with crushing the ice for frozen drinks. However, as we’ve already mentioned, this blender can do a lot more: from sauces to purees, soups and so on.

It may take you a while to figure out how to properly use this blender, what each button does best and how to maximize its results, but overall, we think it is well worth the effort. The Nutri Ninja Duo comes with a lot of accessories, and considering its professional, top-end features, is very affordable.
