PROS:
CONS:
The Whirlpool 4.3. cu. ft. top-loader with Quick Wash can seem a bit old-school and minimalist. Although there are no steam or sanitize options, you can still choose between 12 other wash cycles. This washer has a high-efficiency washing impeller and good cleaning abilities, but it uses lots of water and lacks a lot of features included by other washing machines in its price range.
Whirlpool is a well-known name on the home appliances market. The American company is based in Michigan and has an annual revenue of more than $20 billion.
The 4.3 cu. ft. top-load washing machine with Quick Wash is one of their best-selling and rated models.
Here are its main specifications:

The design of this Whirlpool washer is pretty simple and has an organized, intuitive control panel with mostly dial controls, except for the start/pause button. The overall design is classic, if not a bit outdated.
You’ve got the main dial in the middle, with the 12 wash cycles: normal, deep water wash, heavy duty, bulky items/sheets, drain & spin, rinse & spin, clean washer with affresh, soak, quick wash, delicate, casual and cold wash.
Then you’ve got 2 dials on the right side of it, and two on the left. They let you set the temperature (tap cold, cold, cool, warm, hot), the soil level (ex. Light, light, med, heavy), the rinse function (how many rinses) and enable the Presoak feature.
The entire panel of the washer is extremely straightforward, although you will notice the lack of some advanced features, such as sanitization or steam options.
The spin speed of this Whirlpool washer is not the most impressive, with a maximum of 660 RPM. Another drawback is the fact that this is not the most economical washing machine and it is not Energy Star certified. Expect to pay around $90/year for its use and to consume a lot of water. There is the Automatic Water Levels feature which adjusts the amount of water based on how much laundry you load in it, but overall, this is definitely a washer that needs a large amount of water.
Still, there are some things about this Whirlpool washer that make it so appreciated. One of them is the high-efficiency impeller which replaces the classic pole agitator. The smooth wave stainless steel basket will be gentle on your laundry, which is an important aspect.
The cleaning quality of this Whirlpool washing machine is quite good and if you are willing to wait for the one hour and 40 minutes Heavy Duty cycle to complete, you are guaranteed to get impressive results. The Deep Water Wash cycles is also efficient when it comes to removing stains, but it uses even more water in order to get the best results.
The Normal cycle takes around one hour and fifteen minutes and there is also the Quick Wash cycle, which is perfect for smaller loads and it takes only 28 minutes to complete.
The Whirlpool 4.3 cu. ft. top-washer is not the most modern washer you can find out there. It is not very economical, it has a below the average spin speed and it is also a bit loud. You can definitely find better options out there in this price range, but if you are a nostalgic who prefers a traditional washer with a very simple and user-friendly design/controls and good cleaning abilities, this Whirlpool model can meet your expectations.
On the official Whirlpool website the washer has a price of $849.
