Despite the fact that it lacks some features other similar software have, WinX DVD Copy Pro is a good DVD copier. It allows you to make identical copies in less than an hour and it has good customer support. The app has an integrated decryption software that can bypass all common anti-piracy encryptions.
We decided to include WinX DVD Copy Pro in our top ten best DVD copy software because it’s a fairly simple program to use, it has the needed tools to perform DVD duplicates and it can copy your desired disc in less than 60 minutes. However, it’s missing a vital feature when it comes to successfully copying your DVDs, it can’t compress data onto a smaller sized disc. WinX DVD Copy Pro comes with standard copying options we came across with almost every other product we reviewed. Aside from the elementary features, it also has an integrated decryption software that allows you to go around the CSS encryption most commercial DVDs have. This important asset makes sure you can copy any disc you’ve previously bought without much hassle.
This app is also very effective and expedient when it comes to making copies. To make an identical copy of your favorite DVD, you’ll have to wait around 50 minutes. Although it might seem like a lot, WinX DVD Copy Pro’s time is just above the industry average of 45 minutes. Since the copier doesn’t have a compression option, you’re going to have to buy more expensive larger sized DVD-9 discs for your copies. With this option you would be able to simply insert a regular DVD-5 disc and have the program compress everything on it. Although it would be best if the app had that option, compressing your videos usually impacts their quality greatly, so you’re not really missing out on much.
WinX DVD Copy Pro also offers the ability to save your DVD’s ISO file to your computer. In case you’re just getting to know DVD copy software, an ISO file is an image of the original DVD. This virtual blueprint serves as a backup of your DVD collection. If somewhere down the road you lose or damage the original disc, you can always create a new copy by mounting the ISO file into a virtual drive on your PC and the burning it onto a blanc disc. By saving your movie database on your computer you’re creating your own virtual movie library you can access at any time. Aside from copying the content onto fresh discs, you can also play any movie you have saved as an ISO on your computer.
