RegClean Pro made a barely noticeable increase in the PC’s performance even with the benchmarking software. More tech savvy users can customize the areas they want scanned, or exempt. The startup optimizer tool is essential for an increased overall performance of your PC.
Systweek promises increased performance and a clutter free, stable PC when you use their registry cleaner RegClean Pro. The app features an integrated registry defrag tool and a startup optimizer utility for further performance increase. Although it did justify its good name as a registry repair software on our tests, the improvements in the overall performance of the PC it was tested on were barely noticeable.
While most registry cleaners won’t boost your PC’s performance significantly, it’s important to run a Windows registry cleanup regularly as a preventive measure. RegClean Pro has an added security feature that allows you to revert any changes, or fixes that might have caused your system to malfunction. By going back a few steps to your last saved registry setting, you can find and exclude the problematic entry point from future scans. RegClean Pro allows you to customize the locations you wish to be scanned. You can manually (de)select certain areas of your system you wish to stay completely excluded from the overall scan. The registry cleaner also has a startup optimizer that helps boost your PC’s performance by turning off certain apps that are preprogramed to start with your system. Having too many resource-consuming programs start with Windows can significantly slow down your PC.

Since all registry repair software developers claim their product will boost your PC’s performance through the roof, we devised a trial to put these claims to the test. By using a benchmark software we recorded the baseline performance of the eight-year-old PC we used to run the tests. After we ran the registry repair app we did another measurement of the computer’s overall performance to get a more complete picture on the possible improvements caused by the registry cleaning software.
RegClean Pro found and fixed 2.489 Windows registry issues, boosting the test PC’s performance by a meager 1.5 percent. Considering that any result bellow 15 percent is only detectable with a benchmarking software, RegClean Pro’s score is highly disappointing. The overall increase encompasses mainly the highest improved area of word and data processing while all other tested areas showed minor falls.
