The CMW-200 microwave is manufactured by Cuisinart, an American brand. The company was founded in 1971 and it is now owned by Conair Corporation.

Cuisinart specializes in home and mostly kitchen appliances and they produce more than just microwaves: blenders, food processors, coffee makers, tools, cutlery and much more.

The CMW-200 is a countertop convection microwave oven with a grill function. It is a high-end piece of kitchenware, powerful, with an elegant design and it is medium sized.

The CMW-200 has a beautiful, luxurious design, with a brushed stainless steel and black frame and a tinted glass window. It has touchpad controls and a lot of features and options. The door opens by pushing a button. The stainless steel interior doesn’t absorb smells and it is also easy to clean. Here are the most important features of the CMW-200:

• Grilling option (comes with a reversible grill rack)

The multi-stage option is very useful for when you have to prepare something that requires a lot of stages: defrosting, baking and then grilling the same food, for instance.

There is also a recipe book included, that might give you further ideas on how you can use the microwave.

The CMW-200 has a power of 1000 watts and it comes with 10 power levels. The 1000W become 1500 watts with the convection feature and 1100 watts with the convection grill function.

One thing we didn’t like about the CMW-200 was its door mechanism. Something as basic as pushing a button to open the microwave door can be an irritating task. Also, the entire mechanism seemed a bit fragile to us and after further research, we found out others had problems with it as well.

The fact that it is a convection oven is a very big thumbs up for the Cuisinart CMW-200 microwave. Roasting is one of its biggest strengths. Convection ovens are also appreciated for the fact that they can prepare your meals faster. The way convection works in the case of the CMW-200 is through a heat source, found at the top.

The microwave also has a fan on the back which is quite loud when using the convection feature. It is also important to place it accordingly, because it needs as much venting as possible, so make sure you leave at least 3 in. around it. If space is an issue for you, you might want to consider another model. You should also avoid encasing it in a cabinet, because, as we’ve already mentioned it, it needs airflow, otherwise it could overheat.

The preset options let you choose the weight/size of the food you want to cook, which ensures a thorough, more even cooking.

Overall, the Cuisinart CMW-20 is a great value for the money. It is extremely versatile and considering the convection feature, reversible grill and its luxurious design with stainless steel, we find it to be fairly priced and quite affordable.
