PROS:
CONS:
The Panasonic NN-SN936W is a top-notch microwave, equipped with a lot of smart, useful features. It has a premium design, uses the patented Panasonic inverter technology, it’s powerful, has an impressive internal capacity and cooks your meals fast and thorough.
Panasonic is the brand with among the largest number of best-selling microwaves on the market right now. One of them is the NN-SN936W. All of their microwaves use the newest, most popular technologies: cyclonic wave and their patented inverter technology.
The NN-SN936W model is a countertop microwave with inverter technology. It comes in two available colors: white and black. The inverter technology with its continuous, linear output allows the microwave to cook at different powers, ensuring a better, even overall result. Traditional microwaves can’t do that, they can only cook at their full capacity, even though they have those ‘power levels’, but they’re not as efficient.
Here are the main specifications of the SN936W:
The SN936W is a good-looking microwave. Both the white and black versions have a stylish look. The microwave features a touch control and a 4 digits green display. You can also use the display as a clock. The door opens by pushing a button and it functions much smoother than in the older versions. There is an interactive menu screen that gives you instructions on how to prepare different dishes, soups, desserts and more. The instructions are offered in 3 languages: English, French, Spanish.
There are a lot of features that make the Panasonic NN-SN936W a good choice. It has a turbo defrost feature that helps you defreeze food in a quick, efficient and uniform way.
This Panasonic microwave has 9 preset options for pasta, omelets, hot cereals, vegetables, potatoes and more.
There is a child lock, a quick 30 seconds options, a delay start feature, sensors for cooking and reheating, 3 stage cooking, auto reheat and a keep warm function. The latter is very useful for when you want your food to stay warm in the oven until you serve it. The feature uses a low microwave power to ensure the meal remains warm but doesn’t overcook.
The SN936W has a larger interior than it appears to. While it takes up less space than a conventional microwave, the interior capacity is generous, which is exactly what you want in such a kitchen appliance: to occupy as little space as possible, yet to be spacious enough on the inside.
The power of the SN936W is also impressive, with a 1250 wattage. It has 10 power levels.
On the negatives of the Panasonic, there aren’t too many things we can complain about. We did find the beeping alarm for when the food is ready to be a bit too quiet, especially when you’ve got a lot going on in your kitchen and there are other noises in the room. Sometimes you may not even hear the microwave beeping. Another ‘con’ would be the fact that direct/live customer support is not easy to reach, you might have to be insistent if you have any problems and you really have to contact one of their reps.
Overall though, this is a high-end microwave at an affordable price. It has a lot of smart features and it cooks your meals even and quick.
The price of the Panasonic NN-SN936W is $162 on Amazon. In the box you also get the 16.5 inch glass turntable and the manual + a quick start guide in English and Spanish. The product comes with a one year limited manufacturer warranty.
