Cuisinart is a worldwide renowned home appliance brand, particularly famous for its food processors and blenders. It is American and owned by Conair Corporation and it was founded in 1971.
Cuisinart commercializes various home appliances, from cookware to dinnerware, tools, outdoor grills, toasters and many other.
The CPT-3000 ViewPro Glass 2 stands out through its special see-through design. The toaster features glass windows that allow you to see the slices of bread inside.
Here are the main specifications of the ViewPro Glass 2:
Design
The ViewPro Glass 2 is a modern looking kitchen appliance. It is a 2-slice toaster, it’s not heavy and it is quite compact, so finding it a place on your kitchen counter shouldn’t be a problem. It has a stainless steel housing, it comes only in one color (black) and features touch controls. There are no buttons of any kind. The touch controls are really responsive and they are illuminated in red.
Both sides have see-through glass windows that let you see your slice of bread while it’s being toasted. Both glass panels are removable so you can clean them when needed. The crumb tray is removable, too. The slots are really wide (1.75”) and allow you to toast various types of bread, bagels, pastries, pancakes, etc. The high lift lever on the toaster pops the slice high enough so that you can easily take it out.
The ViewPro Glass 2 has a slide-out crumb tray which you can easily remove and empty/clean.
The ViewPro Glass 2 has 6 levels of browning and 5 touch controls, as it follows (from top to bottom): Single, Bagel, Defrost, Reheat, Cancel. While almost all the controls are self-explanatory, in case you are wondering about the first one, the Single function, it allows you to only insert a single slice of bread.
What is missing from the ViewPro Glass 2 is a Keep Warm button, which we find very useful in a toaster. There is also no notification sound to alert you when your toast is ready.
Features and performance
Cuisinart takes pride in its ViewPro Glass 2 and boasts in its Quartz toasting technology which is supposed to toast your bread faster and evenly.
The browning options are really useful and offer you a wide range of shades. The toaster is indeed fast and does a great job on pretty much anything you slide in. It does toast evenly, as advertised, and we were particularly impressed by the results we got with bagels.
Another thing we liked about the ViewPro Glass 2 were its extra-wide slots, which are indeed roomy enough to fit even thicker slices or bagels.
One thing you should be careful about is the top of the toaster, as it can get pretty hot when in use, so make sure you don’t touch it.
In conclusion, we consider the Cuisinart ViewPro Glass 2 to be an excellent value for the money. It is relatively small and light, so it won’t take up too much space on your counter, but at the same time it is spacious enough where it matters; its wide slots are really useful, as you can choose between mostly any type of bread/bagel/etc. The digitalized control panel is user friendly and a joy to use and the ViewPro Glass 2 is fast and toasts your slices evenly. And the interesting see-through design is another plus.
The Cuisinart ViewPro Glass 2 can be purchased for approximately $60. It comes with a limited 3-year warranty.
